Lightweight design with 2m cable for flexibility
The Phidgets Rotary Encoder - 6mm Solid Shaft 600CPR is an optical device designed to monitor the incremental position of motors, shafts, or other rotating components. It provides 600 quadrature cycles per rotation, allowing for precise tracking of movement. This encoder supports rotation speeds up to 6000 RPM, making it suitable for high-speed applications. A connector is pre-attached to facilitate quick and easy integration with Phidgets encoder interfaces, and mounting screws are included for secure installation. The encoder operates with a push-pull output circuit type and requires a supply voltage of 5 V DC. It is engineered to handle a maximum current consumption of 60 mA and can achieve an output frequency of up to 100 kHz. The solid shaft has a diameter of 6 mm, and the device is capable of withstanding axial loads up to 15 N and radial loads up to 30 N. The encoder is designed to function effectively within a temperature range of -20 °C to 85 °C and can operate in environments with humidity levels up to 85% RH, provided they are non-condensing. With an IP50 rating, it offers a moderate level of protection against dust ingress. The encoder is compact and lightweight, weighing 150 grams, and includes a 2-meter cable for flexible installation options.
