The Phidgets NEMA34 - 1.8 Degree - 4A Stepper - Gearless is a robust bipolar stepper motor designed for applications requiring significant torque and precision. It features a 1.8-degree step angle, providing smooth and accurate motion control. This motor is capable of delivering 30 kg·cm of torque at low speeds and offers a holding torque of 34 kg·cm when operating at 2.8 Amps. The motor's rear shaft is exposed, allowing for the attachment of an encoder or shaft coupler, enhancing its versatility in various mechanical setups.
This NEMA-34 motor is engineered to connect seamlessly with a Phidgets stepper controller, ensuring optimal performance and control. It is rated for 4 Amps of current, making it suitable for demanding applications. The motor's construction allows it to handle high-speed and high-torque tasks, although care must be taken to prevent damage from back EMF generated during stalling or rapid directional changes.
Note: Connecting the motor directly to a power supply will destroy the motor and void the warranty. It must be used with a constant current / chopper drive controller.
