The Phidgets NEMA23 - 1.8 Degree - 2.8A Stepper - 4.25:1 Gearbox is a sophisticated bipolar stepper motor designed for precision and efficiency. It features a planetary gearbox with a 4.25:1 ratio, which enhances its performance by providing a refined step angle of approximately 0.42 degrees at the gearbox output. This motor is capable of delivering a substantial torque of 46.6 kg·cm at low speeds, making it suitable for applications requiring high torque and precise control.
The motor is equipped with a rear shaft, allowing for the attachment of an encoder or shaft coupler, thereby expanding its versatility in various mechanical systems. It is rated for a current of 2.8A and is specifically designed to connect seamlessly with a Phidgets stepper controller, ensuring optimal performance and control.
Note: Connecting the motor directly to a power supply will destroy the motor and void the warranty. It must be used with a constant current / chopper drive controller such as a Phidget stepper controller.
