The Phidgets IR Beam Break Proximity Sensor - 15mm is an advanced infrared sensor designed to detect the interruption of an infrared beam between its emitter and receiver. This sensor is capable of detecting both opaque and transparent objects, such as water droplets, provided the beam is sufficiently disrupted. The sensitivity of the sensor can be finely adjusted using a flathead screwdriver, allowing for precise control over its detection capabilities.
The sensor features a 15mm sensing gap and is equipped with an LED indicator that illuminates when the beam is interrupted, providing a clear visual signal of detection. The sensor operates with a normally open switch type and is designed to respond swiftly with a response time of just 1 millisecond.
